Curbside Pickup!

WE’VE REALLY MISSED YOU!

The Mountainside Public Library begins its phased opening this week.

Although we’re really looking forward to welcoming our patrons back into our library, it’s clear that we will need to take a step-by-step approach in order to appropriately prepare our building and implement systems to keep both our staff and patrons safe.

Beginning June 22, all library material that is currently checkout can be deposited in the dropbox to the left of the library door. Returned items will be quarantined for five days before reshelving and made available to other patrons. No late fees will be charged for any material borrowed before the library closure. Late fees on these items will only begin to accrue after July 22, 2020.

Curbside contactless pickup of library material begins a week later, on Monday June 29. You can place a hold on any library item using the online catalog (login with your library card number and phone number as your password) on our website or by calling the library. After the book is located, you will receive a phone call and given a 2-hour window for pickup, usually within 24 hours from when the hold was initiated.  Just call the library when you’ve arrive in the parking lot and a staff member will place your items on a table outside of the front door for you to pick up.
