Adrienne Robertiello, Autism Educator at Children’s Specialized Hospital, will present a workshop to help all members of the community – family members, friends, neighbors, and professionals – learn more about autism and discover ways to support positive relationships and community partnerships. New Jersey has the highest reported rates of autism in the country; one in every 45 children in the state is diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Children’s Specialized Hospital is the largest provider of autism services in New Jersey as well as a national leader in education, research and early diagnosis. The Autism Program at Children’s Specialized Hospital is dedicated to improving the lives of children, adolescents and families with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by providing comprehensive evaluations, treatment, research, community education, and outreach. This presentation will educate, build awareness, and encourage inclusion, respect, and friendship between people with autism and their families in the community.
